Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman adorned the throne of Divine guidance and persuasion on September 26, 2003, after the demise of his perfect spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali. His followers can attest that he has consistently demonstrated compassion, love and dedication both inwardly and outwardly. The one who approaches your court with sincere intention is granted blessings that surpass their own requests.

Sarwari Qadri Saint

This exemplifies the stature of Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide, who embodies greater generosity than all other benefactors. The greatest grace and kindness towards his disciples is that, from the very first day of their initiation, he bestows upon them the remembrance of Sultan of invocations i.e. ‘Hoo’ as well as the contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat within their inwards. He guides the seeker along the timeless path of divine gnosis without burdening them with strenuous rituals and exhausting recitations. Whether facing external trials or inner struggles, he guides and supports the seeker with compassion and patience. This empowers them to overcome future challenges just as compassionate teacher prepares the student for exam. When the seeker of Allah succeeds in external or internal trials, it is entirely due to his divine grace and favour. The noble qualities that Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo describes as of the perfect spiritual guide are indeed truly reflected and evident in his personality. 

Perfect Spiritual Guide

He says,
One must know that who is worthy of being called the perfect spiritual guide? What qualities and attributes does he possess? How does he submerge the seeker in the Oneness and bless him with presence in the Mohammadan Assembly? What can be acquired from the spiritual guide? What is his own status and rank? Spiritual guide has Divine powers as he is the Fakir who is annihilated in Allah and immortal with Him. Spiritual guide is the giver of life (to the soul) and death (to the inciting innerself) and is indifferent to all the needs. He is like the philosopher’s stone and also a touchstone. His glance is beneficent like the sun which changes all the bad qualities of the seeker into good ones. He is like a dyer (who changes the inward colour of seeker by diverting his attention from worldliness to Allah). Spiritual guide is a well informed person and is aware of all the qualities of a seeker just like a betel leaf chooser is aware of the qualities of betel leaves. (Ain-ul-Faqr)

What is the significance of Ism-e-Allah Zaat?

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen bestows upon the seeker of Allah invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat guiding him along the spiritual path. Through this, the reality of Divine gnosis becomes vividly revealed to the seeker. Indeed, he is the one who has reached the level of annihilation in Allah and has become immortal with Allah. He graciously bestows the gift of divine presence upon seekers. He possesses spiritual sight like a precious gem that transforms the seekers inner attributes by eliminating bad qualities and cultivating noble virtues. His power and sovereignty are immense as he is fully aware of the seeker’s states and feelings, knowing every virtue and flaw completely. In short, he nurtures the spiritual journey of every devotee.

Blessings of Ism-e-Allah Zaat & Miracles of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen

Sultan-ul-Arifeen, Sultan Bahoo has repeatedly emphasized in his writings that the true blessings of Ism-e-Allah Zaat are only attained when one has fully connected with and received guidance from a perfect spiritual guide. A sincere and wholehearted invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat ensures the seeker receives divine blessings, illuminating the spiritual journey and drawing the seeker closer to the Divine Reality.
Below are some observations from the disciples.
Through his divine grace and blessing, Sultan Hafiz Mohammad Nasir Majid, a dedicated spiritual successor, has attained the spiritual blessings of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad. This divine favour has profoundly enriched his spiritual journey, strengthening his connection with the Divine and uplifting his soul. After the oath of allegiance to Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, I was granted the compassion to meditate daily five to six hours upon Ism-e-Allah Zaat. I vividly visualized it, even clearly seeing it inscribed on my body. However, amidst this dedication, a persistent restlessness remained. An inner longing for the unveiling of the divine secret of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. A heartfelt desire to behold Divine Presence. One day, after contemplating, I pressed it close to my chest and began to see it’s impression on my heart. During this state of meditation, I saw a beautiful vision within the Ism-e-Allah Zaat, he perceived the divine form of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. In that moment, the profound secret was revealed that Allah Almighty manifests His Divine presence in this form. After this profound experience, whenever the seeker would contemplate Ism-e-Allah Zaat, the radiant and smiling face of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen appear before his eyes.
Another spiritual successor, Sultan Mohammad Nasir Hamid narrates about the miracles of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
I have had a shadow of evil over me since childhood, which was not removed even by various amulets and supplications. As I grew older, the influence of this demon became more intense. Often the demon would press on my ribs so hard that it felt like my bones were breaking. After pledging oath of allegiance on the hands of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, through the invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat,I recovered from this within few days.

Ilm-e-Dawat and the power of Waham

  • Professor Sultan Hammad Rehman, the spiritual successor of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, states that through his spiritual guide, he was granted the power of waham (spiritual conversation). What does presence in Mohammadan Assembly means?

Sultan Bahoo says about the presence of Mohammadan Assembly:

From the letter م (M) of ْ م ُ ح َ م َد (Mohammad) gnosis of Allah is gained and by the letter ح (H) presence in the Mohammadan Assembly is obtained. By the second م (M) of Mohammad one gets observation of both the worlds and by the letter د (D) all the objectives are achieved immediately. These four letters are like an unsheathed sword to kill the innerself. (Kaleed-e-Jannat)
Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen also bestows the blessing of Ism-e-Mohammad after Ism-e-Allah Zaat upon fortunate seekers of the Allah. Through this, their self becomes weaker, and the spirit becomes stronger, and he is granted presence of the Mohammadan assembly.

  • In this regard, the observation of Sultan Hafiz Mohammad Nasir Majid is recorded in the book ‘Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’ Hafiz Mohammad Nasir Majid, while meditating with the intention of attaining the presence of the Mohammadan assembly and focusing on the thought of the, found himself in an ancient style mansion that had a large green door. It was revealed to his heart that The Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, is present here. When Sultan Hafiz Mohammad Nasir Majid entered to visit the Holy Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, there was a pulpit in front of him, upon which Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen was seated. He looked towards Hafiz Mohammad Nasir Majid and was smiling.
  • Similarly, the observation of Mohammad Moghees Afzal Sarwari Qadri is recorded.
    Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen granted ilm-e-dawat to Moghees Afzal Sarwari Qadri. On the very first day of reciting the invitation, he attained the presence of the Mohammadan Assembly. In a state of spiritual presence, he saw that Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rahman, took him somewhere with him. Upon reaching a door, he said, ‘Open this door.’ When Moghees Afzal opened the door, he said, ‘This is the Mohammadan Assembly.’ Upon this blessing from Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, tears flowed from his eyes.

The essence of all saints of Sarwari Qadri Order is same

Divine trust or the spiritual treasure of Faqr is the true spiritual inheritance of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which was passed from him to Ali ibn Abi Talib. After that, it was passed from person to person, reaching Sultan Bahoo. He organized the Qadri order under the name of Sarwari Qadri order, and the treasury of Faqr continued to be passed down from chest to chest among the Sarwari Qadri saints. The current perfect spiritual guide of the Sarwari Qadri order is Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. It is your immense favor and grace upon the disciples that you reveal the true essence of the Sarwari Qadri saints to them. In this regard, the struggle of your disciple is recorded.

  • Once, Ali Raza Masud Sarwari Qadri, along with Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen attended the spiritual gathering of Sultan-ul-Tarikeen Sultan Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah Madni Jilani. During the event, Sayyid Abdullah Shah inquired about their well-being through waham. On one occasion, they were participating in a gathering held at the Sarwari Qadri Khanqah and were engrossed in the sight of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Suddenly, I beheld the blessed form of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, and through this visage, I saw all the Sarwari Qadri saints. As a result, it became utterly clear, as clear as the brightness of midday sun, that the essence of all the Sarwari Qadri saints is one and the same. That is, the essence of Mohammadan Reality.

Similarly, another observation of one of your disciples has been mentioned,

  • Once, during the Mehfil Noor-e-Mustafa held every Sunday, Nazakat Ali Sarwari Qadri was performing security duty at the main gate when he saw the vehicle of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. When the vehicle approached, Nazakat Ali Sarwari Qadri saw the blessed presence of Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Hazrat Sakhi Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali, inside the vehicle. However, when the vehicle stopped, Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen stepped out. It became clear to Nazakat Ali that the Sarwari Qadri Saints are a mirror reflecting one another.

Spiritual awakening of the inward

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants all his disciples the king of invocations Hoo (ھُو) immediately on the very first day, after they pledge allegiance to him. Hoo is called ‘the sultan of invocations’ (Sultan-ul-Azkar). Its manifestations have the most rapid and powerful effect. For a new seeker, enduring these (divine) manifestations is absolutely not easy. This is solely the perfection of their perfect spiritual guide, who himself makes them capable of bearing these manifestations. He remains close to the seeker at every moment making manifestations easy and subtle for them.

Sultan of invocations

Sultan Bahoo says: 

The invocation of Hoo (ہُو) affects its reciter in such a way that he starts loving Hoo extremely and is disgusted by everything other than Him. (Ain-ul-Faqr)

Shaikh al-Akbar Mohiyuddin ibn Arabi says:

Hoo (ہُو) is the most elevated and the ultimate invocation of Mystics.
(Al-Futuhat al-Makkiyya Vol-II Ch. 5)

After Maghrib prayer, Sultan Mohammad Nasir Hamid Sarwari Qadri took the pledge of allegiance. He had not yet reached home when, by the effect of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s perfect spiritual sight and Allah’s mercy, his inward became receptive and open. The state was so intense that the sound of Hoo was audible to the people around. Throughout the night, the inward remained receptive in this manner. Sometimes the remembrance was silent, and other times it was aloud. The next evening, when he presented before Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, he seated them in front. After a short while, through his kindness, his inward found tranquility and peace.

 

The miracle of online oath of allegiance

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has initiated the practice of granting invocation and contemplation of the Ism-e-Allah Zaat through online bayah (oath of allegiance) from abroad, bringing a revolution in the history of Sufism (Faqr) and giving a new direction to the history of spiritualism. By establishing the online oath of allegiance, through his teachings and guidance, he has not only clarified the paths of spiritualism and gnosis for everyone but also made them easy to follow.

Conversion to Islam

The observations made by the disciple Mohammad Javed Sardari Qadri of Mauritius are recorded. Regarding how the iner path or the path of spirituality became illuminated after pledging allegiance, invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat from our beloved spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
Mohammad Javed Sardari Qadri is from Mauritius. He had been in search of the truth for quite some time. When he studied the teachings of Faqr provided on the website of Tehreek-e-Dawat-e-Faqr, he was greatly surprised to learn that no other spiritual order’s website or book had mentioned the beautiful aspects of Islam, namely Faqr—that is Divine Vision and the presence in the Mohammadan Assembly. However, Satan was preventing them from walking on the straight path. One day, suddenly, while looking into the mirror, he saw the blessed face of Sultan al-Ashiqeen where his own face should have been. As a result, all doubts and uncertainties were removed from his inward. He contacted Pakistan and took oath of allegiance at his blessed hand online. As they continued with invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, the love for the Spiritual Guide began to increase immensely in his inward. In their outward life as well, positive changes took place. He began to hear Sultan of invocations Hoo in every creature around him.

The writings of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen are a source of guidance

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s literary contributions to spread the teachings of Faqr globally will serve as a source of guidance for generations to come. He has authored 24 books on Faqr and Sufism which hold significant importance in the history of Faqr. It is believed that whoever sincerely reads the works of Sultan Bahoo will surely find guidance through him. Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the spiritual successor of Sultan Bahoo in the Sarwari Qadri order. It’s observed that whoever sincerely studies Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s blessed writings, with divine grace, will have the inward as in path of truth, illuminated for them. To achieve the path of truth, he published the book “Haqeeqat Ism-e-Allah Zaat” and began distributing it free of charging Lahore on July 28, 2005. This was done to encourage people to read it and strive for the invocation and contemplation of Ism Allah Zaat.

Literary Contributions to the Sarwari Qadri Order

Another significant achievement in his literary endeavors is bringing to light the elevated spiritual stations of the Sarwari Qadri order’s spiritual saints who succeeded Sultan Bahoo. He has also disseminated their teachings through every available medium of communication.

Promoting Sufi Knowledge Globally

Another significant contribution to the history of Sufism is his initiative to make the books of saints, a treasure trove of Faqr and Sufism, accessible worldwide. Under his supervision, these Urdu books have been translated into English and published, reaching Muslims of every color, race, and nationality.

Undoubtedly, Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is a perfect mystic, the Universal Divine Man. His teachings, sayings, and writings ignite the flame of divine knowledge and gnosis of Allah in the seeker’s inward.

In this regard, an observation of one of your disciples is being presented.

Bungaree, from Mauritius, was searching for the true religion. He met many scholars and fake spiritual guides, but couldn’t find peace of inward. During this time, he studied Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s blessed work, “Haqeeqat-e-Mohammadi,” The Mohammadan Reality which was its English translation. Following this, he gained awareness of the true teachings of Islam and the Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) authentic legacy of Faqr. He realized that the Sarwari Qadri order is indeed the path of truth. Upon learning about Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad, he immediately accepted Islam at the hands of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, pledged allegiance online, and received Ism-e-Allah Zaat. He gave Bungaree Vinay the Islamic name Mohammad Siddique.

Nullifying the Effects of Magic

Among Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s countless miracles, a significant one is his status as a Perfect Spiritual Guide possessing divine power. Any seeker affected by ghosts, jinn, evil spirits, amulets, or magic, who becomes his disciple finds all these influences nullified by Allah’s command.

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s disciple, Sultan Mohammad Nasir Hameed Sarwari Qadri, narrates one of his miracles: One day, a disciple of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen brought his distressed friend to him, explaining, “Hazrat Sahib, his wife is possessed by evil spirits or jinn, and she is in a very bad state. Please show your mercy.”

Divine Gnosis

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen said, “We bestow the recognition of Allah and divine gnosis, but since you’re here, take this amulet and use it as instructed.” The person narrated that as soon as they returned home with the amulet, his friend’s mother asked where they had been. They initially tried to hide it but then admitted they had gone to get an amulet. At this, the mother revealed that a male voice from within her daughter-in-law was saying, “Those two Maulvis have gone to get an amulet for us.” As soon as the man and his friend entered the room, the woman’s masculine voice spoke, “You’ve brought the amulet, haven’t you? Come on, first make us recite the Kalima so we can become Muslims.” Then, the boy’s father was asked to recite the Azaan, call to prayer. After that, as soon as the amulets were used, by the grace of Allah, the Jinn departed, and the woman became perfectly fine.

Purification of self and Character Building

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says: 

  • The toughest task in this world is to make a human worthy of being called a human.
  • Making a human a “true human” means transforming them into a seeker of Allah, because the real human is one who possesses the desire for Allah.

This character building or human development is only possible through the spiritual sight of a perfect spiritual guide. Character building also means that the spiritual guide removes all negative traits from the seeker’s being, transforming them into a better human. Another aspect of purification of self is positive thinking. When a seeker performs the contemplation and invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat under the guidance of a Perfect Spiritual guide their thoughts progressively become more positive.

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says:

  • Man’s reality is reflected by his thoughts. Making them positive is excellence in Faqr.

His disciples have observed that pledging allegiance to him has a positive impact on a seeker’s personality. As a seeker becomes more acquainted with him, they experience mental, spiritual, and emotional tranquility.

Positive Transformation Through Ism-e-Allah Zaat

The invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat consistently fosters positive thinking. A miracle regarding this has been recorded by one of his disciples:

At Khanqah Sarwari Qadri, Mohammad Shujaat had the profound honor of his first meetingwith the perfect spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, and was also blessed with the opportunity to kiss his hand. Peace settled over Mohammad Shujaat the moment he saw him, replacing his restlessness and anxiety. I was honored to pledge allegiance to Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. After some time, I moved into the khanqah to live in his constant company. When Mohammad Shujaat began the spiritual practices of invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, a remarkable phenomenon occurred: his love for Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, his spiritual guide, intensified. This deepening of affection, surprisingly, was a direct result of contemplating Ism-e-Allah Zaat. He later discovered, through studying the books of Sultan Bahoo, that such an outcome is a definitive sign of a spiritual guide’s perfection. Under the profound influence of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, Mohammad Shujaat courageously abandoned all intoxicants and negative influences. Through Allah’s grace, Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen not only helped him grasp the true purpose of life but also firmly set him on the straight path. Qamar Abbas was caught in the throes of drug addiction, so despairing that he considered ending his life.His friend, Kamran Maqsood Sarwari Qadri, who himself had pledged allegiance to Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, advised Qamar Abbas to follow suit. Remarkably, the very instant he pledged allegiance to Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, his long-standing drug habit disappeared so entirely that its absence went unnoticed by him. Today, Qamar Abbas shares the message of Faqr with the public, inviting them to embrace the spiritual grace offered by Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.

Protection From Accidents

Sultan Bahoo says regarding the perfect spiritual guide possessing Divine light of guidance,

  • The perfect Mystic of (Sarwari) Qadri order is omnipotent and omnipresent. (Risala Roohi Sharif)

The embodiment of these qualities is evident in Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, a truth affirmed by a multitude of his disciples. It is consistently observed that whenever a sincere seeker of Allah prays for his help, whether through outward actions or inner devotion, he graciously extends his kindness and mercy. Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s grace extends to all prayers, whether they seek closeness and gnosis of Allah, abundance in sustenance, the blessing of children, success in examinations, or protection from life’s many accidents. In every instance, his kindness prevails.

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s Spiritual powers

Sultan Mohammad Abdul Reham Sarwari Qadri, the spiritual successor of Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, narrates his miracles in this regard:

Sultan Mohammad Abdul Rehman Sarwari Qadri was out on an important errand one evening when he received an urgent late-night call to return home. He sped off, trying to reach home as fast as possible. As his car rapidly gained speed, another vehicle suddenly materialized directly in front of him. He slammed on the brakes, but before a catastrophic accident could occur, Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, with Allah’s grace, appeared before the car and brought it to an immediate, inexplicable halt. Sultan Mohammad Abdul Rehman Sarwari Qadri hadn’t even fastened his seatbelt, so there was no way for the airbags to deploy normally. Just as he was about to hit the windshield, a hand forcefully struck the steering wheel, causing the airbags to inflate. Sultan Mohammad Abdul Rehman recounts, ‘I recognized that blessed hand clearly. It was the hand of my Murshid, and it had the same ring and watch that Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen was wearing the day I had met him. This was a great miracle of my spiritual guide; by Allah’s grace, he saved me from a major accident.’

What is annihilation in the Perfect Spiritual Guide?

Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo says:

  • seeker of Truth! Closeness to Allah is gained in three stages by three kinds of contemplation; annihilation in spiritual guide, annihilation in Ism-e-Allah Zaat and annihilation in Ism-e-Mohammad. (Kaleed-e-Jannat)

Sultan-ul-Faqr VII Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says:

  • Remember! The stage of annihilation in the spiritual guide is the most difficult stage in the way of Faqr. If the spiritual guide is perfect, then he is already annihilated in the Holy Prophet and Allah. So, when the seeker annihilates himself in the spiritual guide, the process of crossing other stages becomes easy for him. In fact, when the seeker annihilates in his spiritual guide, he automatically annihilates in Prophet Mohammad and Allah. If the spiritual guide is not a man of Divine Essence, then even years of struggles cannot get the seeker to these stations rather, he cannot even understand their reality.
