Salutations upon the Progeny, Wives and Companions of the Prophet who believed in him and obeyed him wholeheartedly. Hence, proved to be his true followers and lovers. They all supported and assisted him in calling masses towards Divine Oneness and the Prophet of Allah.

After creating the universe, it was necessary to guide the creation towards Allah. For this purpose, Allah sent His chosen men as Messengers who conveyed the message of Allah and knowledge about Him to the people. Today, whatever goodness and light of virtuosity we observe in the world owes to them. Accepting Allah as the greatest, understanding difference between good and evil, valuing justice and righteousness, even the good attributes of irreligious and atheists, directly or indirectly, are result of efforts of Prophets.

Presently, Saints are the heirs of Prophets. The Holy Prophet prayed to Allah:

اَللّٰھُمَّ انْصُرْ مَنْ نَّصْرَ دِیْنَ مُحَمَّدٍؐ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنْھُمْ وَاَخْذُلْ مَنْ خَذَلَ دِیْنَ مُحَمَّدٍؐ وَلَا تَجْعَلْنَامِنْھُمْ

Meaning: O Allah! Bless those who assist the Mohammadan religion with success and include us among them. Do not help those who withhold helping the Mohammadan religion and do not include us among them.

Path of those whom Allah blessed with favor

Readers must know that the true seekers of Allah hitherto gain beneficence and spiritual training from the Mohammadan Assembly. Moreover, perfect spiritual guide of Sarwari Qadri order is man of Divine Essence and is included among those who assist the Mohammadan religion. They are the group for whom the Holy Prophet prayed for success in above Hadith. Also, he prayed to be included in that group, as is mentioned in opening chapter of Quran.

اِہۡدِ نَا الصِّرَاطَ الۡمُسۡتَقِیۡمَ ۙ﴿۵﴾ صِرَاطَ الَّذِیۡنَ اَنۡعَمۡتَ عَلَیۡہِمۡ

Meaning: Show us the straight path. The path of those upon whom You have bestowed Your favors. (1:5,6)

The group mentioned in first part of Hadith, for whom the Prophet prayed for success, are true followers of this path. They are bestowed with success and favors and every Muslim prays to be among
them while reciting Fatiha during salat. Their path is the straight path, and they are always endeavoring for the success and spread of Mohammadan religion. People of this group possess beautiful morals and are the embodiment of good deeds. They recognize the grandeur of being human and work perpetually for the betterment of humanity. Thus, assist in propagating Mohammadan religion by spreading the light of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad.

فرشتہ کہنے سے میری توقیر گھٹتی ہے

مسجود ملاءک ہوں مجھے انسان رہنے دو

Explanation: Do not call me an angel, let me remain human. I am superior to angels as Allah ordered angels to prostrate me.

Assistance and sacrifices of Khadija-tul-Kubra for Mohammadan Religion

Khadija bint Khuwalid is the first lady of Islam and the one who is foremost in accepting Islam. She is also the one who helped Holy Prophet the most in preaching Islam. Her assistance in financial field is remarkable. Hence, Allah honoured her with the gift of unprecedented love of the Prophet and she surpassed all the women whom Allah blessed with His favours. She not only adopted the straight path following the Prophet but also stood by him in every tough time. She wholeheartedly served the Holy Prophet in household matters as well as in his mission of spreading message of Allah.

Khadija-tul-Kubra was a noble woman even before marrying to the Holy Prophet. Her titles were Tahira (the sacred and chaste lady) and Sayyida. She was closest to the heart of Holy Prophet. He said about her, “None of my wives was better than Khadija. She believed in me and comforted me when the infidels tortured me extremely. She helped me financially when others deprived me. Further, Allah granted me progeny through her while none of my children from other wives remained alive.” These words prove her grandeur and describe her strong connection with Prophet as well as her unparalleled role for spread of Islam. Her personality is a beacon of light for the Muslim women in every age.

Role of Abu Bakr Siddique

Abu Bakr is the first one among independent men who embraced Islam and believed in the Holy Prophet. Once, before the Holy Prophet announced his Prophethood, Abu Bakr visited Syria for trade. There he saw a dream which he told to Bahira the monk for interpretation. He interpreted, “If your dream is true then Allah will send a Prophet in your nation. During his life, you will be his vizier and after his life you will be his successor.” When Prophet Mohammad declared his Prophethood, Abu Bakr Siddiq immediately accepted it. Afterwards, he excelled all other Companions in assisting the Holy Prophet. Not only he spent his entire wealth but devoted all his abilities for Islam.

Courage

An incident is narrated in Sahih Bukhari that once the Holy Prophet was offering salat in Kaaba. Suddenly, Uqba bin Abi Mu’ait put his sheet round the Prophet’s neck and throttled it severely. Abu Bakr came instantly, pulled Uqba away from the Prophet and said, “Would you kill a man just because he says, ‘My Lord is Allah’ and he has brought forth to you the evident signs from Lord?” The infidels left the Prophet and started beating Abu Bakr so much so he was besmeared with blood.

Hazrat Ali states in Musnad al-Bazzar that once the pagans of Makkah attacked the Holy Prophet. They were shouting at him that you are the one who persuades to obey one God. Ali says that none of us had the courage to confront them. But Abu Bakr bravely went through the mob, beating and pushing them aside, reached the Holy Prophet and rescued him.

Generosity

After accepting Islam Abu Bakr spent his entire wealth for propagation of Islam and helping the Prophet. Moreover, he spent a great amount to free the Muslim slaves. For the battle of Tabuk, he presented his each and every possession in the court of Prophet. When the Prophet inquired, “What have you left for your family?” He replied, “Allah and His Prophet!”

Other companions

Similarly, Hazrat Umar ibn Khattab helped the Holy Prophet through his courage and dominance. His acceptance of Islam inspired courage in other Companions too as he had commanding personality. The infidels feared him and none dared to confront him. He also helped financially. At the expedition of Tabuk, he presented half of his property to the Prophet.

As regards financial assistance, the contribution of Hazrat Usman ibn Affan is greatest. He assisted the Muslims in every time of need. Whether it was the matter of buying well of sweet water for them, providing food during the drought or assisting for the battles, his contribution is unmatched.

Role of companions of Madina

When atrocities of Makkans exceeded all limits, the people of Medina offered the Holy Prophet to migrate towards Medina. They were ready to help the immigrants in every way as well as to confront the enmity of Makkans. They were not calling the Prophet to their city just to provide him shelter but to provide him a center from where he could continue his mission. Moreover, to help him in building a welfare state. The Holy Prophet accepted their offer and made Medina the first and exemplary welfare state of Islam.

Bayah Al-Aqaba

People of Medina clearly knew the danger hidden behind their offer. It meant they were inviting the wrath of all the powerful Arab tribes who were against Muslims. So, on the night when a delegation from Medina was pledging allegiance to the Prophet i.e. bayah al-Aqaba, one of the members, Asad bin Zurarah gave a speech:

“Wait O people of Yathrib! We have not covered that long distance except because we have had deep belief that he is Messenger of Allah. We are already convinced that following him entails departure from the pagan Arabs even if it were at the risk of our life. It would invite inflictions for your young. Swords would surround you. Should you preserve in this course, holdfast to it, and your great reward is placed in the Hand of Allah. But, if you are caught in fear, I admonish you to give it up just now, then you would be more excusable by Allah.”

Address by Al-Abbas bin Ubada

Then Al-Abbas bin Ubada rose up from amongst them and addressed,

“O you people of Khazraj! Do you know the significance of the pact that you are entering into with this man? You are in fact avowing that you will fight against all and sundry. If you fear that your property will be at stake or the lives of your nobles will be endangered, then leave him now. Because, if you do this after the pledge, it will be degrading for you both in this world and hereafter. But if you think you can carry out what you are called upon to do in spite of the loss of precious lives and property, then undertake this heavy responsibility. I swear by Allah, that herein lies the good of this world and that of the next.”

The delegation replied, “We have already considered the loss of property and the murder of our notables, yet we pay him allegiance.”

Thus, the people of Madina helped the Prophet putting their lives at stake. After migration, they presented their homes, earnings and every kind of help to the immigrants. Moreover, participated in all battles with the Prophet. Hence, they earned great favours from Allah and are included among those whom Allah has praised clearly in Quran. Their title is ‘Ansar’ meaning ‘those who helped’.

Attrocities of infidels upon upon Muslims

The inflictions of infidels upon Muslims were so severe that even mountains could not bear them. They would lay them on hot sand and put a stone on chest, drag them in the streets putting rope around their neck, lay them on burning coals. They also martyred many Muslims by giving extreme pains such as Hazrat Harith bin Hala, Hazrat Yasir. So much so, they cut a Companion in two parts by tying his legs with two horses and then the horses were made to run in opposite directions. They would not only tyrannize common Muslims but also the eminent ones. Like, Hazrat Usman’s uncle used to tie him with chains then beat savagely. Hazrat Zubair was tortured by infusing smoke in his nose while Hazrat Masa’ab was forced out of home naked. Even the beloved Prophet of Allah was not safe from their savageness.

However, none of them retreated from the true religion and faced ever tyranny steadfastly. Rather, the number of those entering the circle of Islam increased day by day. Hence, the cruel opponents of Islam had to face embarrassment. In the words of Akbar Khan Najib-Abadi, the historian of Islam.

Declaration of Prophethood by Prophet Mohammad resulted in extreme opposition and atrocities of Makkans upon the Muslims. In four years, the conflict between infidelity and Islam reached its peak.

Severest enemies

Although, all the infidels turned against the Muslims but some of them displayed extreme enmity. Description and devastating end of few of them is given.

Abdul Lahab

He was uncle of the Holy Prophet and his actual name was Abdul Uzza ibn Abu Muttalib. He openly opposed the Holy Prophet when he first declared his Prophethood at the mountain of Safa. Afterwards, when the Holy Prophet invited all his family members to a dinner and then persuaded them to accept Islam, Abu Lahab insulted him using very harsh words. He was the one who incited Makkans the most against the Prophet.

Two daughters of the Holy Prophet had Nikah with his two sons. He forced his sons to divorce them. Wherever the Holy Prophet went for preaching, he chased him and depraved the people. His cursed wife Umm-e-Jamil spread thorns in the path of the Holy Prophet.

Abu Lahab died with illness few days after the battle of Badr. His illness made his body so much filthy and stinky that no one came near it to bury it. After three days, some Negro labourers were paid to bury it. They used sticks to push it in a pit. Allah has cursed him in sura Lahab.

Abu Jahal

He was Pharaoh of his time and the most cursed. His actual name was Amr ibn Hisham and patronymic was Abu-al-Hakm. The Holy Prophet gave him title of Abu Jahal meaning ‘father of ignorant’ due to his enmity against Islam. He was the one who provoked pagans to attack Muslims that resulted in the battle of Badr. Two young Muslim soldiers killed him in the battle.

Umayyah ibn Khalaf

He was the master of Hazrat Bilal ibn Ribah and tortured him for converting to Islam. Moreover, abused and opposed the Holy Prophet candidly. Hazrat Bilal killed him in the battle of Badr.

Ubay ibn Khalaf

He was brother of Umayyah ibn Khalaf and assisted him in opposing the Prophet. Died in the battle of Uhad.

Uqba bin Abi Mu’ait

He tried to kill the Holy Prophet by strangling his neck with sheet. Muslims imprisoned him in the battle of Badr and then killed.

Waleed ibn al-Mughira

He was chief of a clan of Quraysh tribe. He was extremely arrogant on his wealth and power, and used it against the Muslims. Died in Badr.

Al-As ibn Wa’il

He used to taunt the Holy Prophet by calling him issueless. Died due to biting of an insect.

Conclusion

From the above discussion, readers can easily conclude that whoever helped the Prophet in spreading his religion and made sacrifices for it, Allah bestowed success upon him in the world and great rewards in the hereafter. Contrarily, the opponents who degraded the Prophet and his religion not only met devastating end but people still remember them as cursed ones. In the hereafter also they will be amongst the reprobates. There are numerous followers and lovers of the Holy Prophet in the world but there are no traces left of those who called him issueless. Whoever remembers them, remembers with a curse.

An important aspect of preaching of the Holy Prophet is that no matter how extreme was the opposition and unfavourable were the conditions, he and his followers never left hope and remained steadfast. They had complete faith in their mission and perfect trust upon Allah which rewarded them with success. A poet uttered;

تندیء باد مخالف سے نہ گھبرا اے عقاب

یہ تو چلتی ہے تجھے اور اونچا اڑانے کے لیے

Explanation: O Eagle! Do not fear the opposing wind. It provides you thrust to fly higher.

Incident of Suraqah bin Malik

Suraqah pursued Prophet Mohammad and Abu Bakr when they were on the way to Medina for Hijrah. Quraish had announced reward of 100 camels for anyone who tracked the Holy Prophet. Suraqah was enticed but when he reached the Prophet, his mare stuck in sand and nothing could extricate it. He lifted his bow to shoot the Prophet but his hands became paralyzed. He cried out, “O Mohammad! Pray for me so that my mare gets out of this mess. I promise, I will retrace my steps and give up the pursuit.” Holy Prophet prayed and Suraqah’s mare freed itself from the sand.

However, Suraqah broke his promise and continued the pursuit. Again on reaching the Prophet, his mare got stuck. He again requested the Prophet to pray for him. After this happened thrice, Suraqah begged pardon from the Prophet and declared that Mohammad’s religion would prevail one day. When he was about to return, the Holy Prophet told him that he would one day wear the bangles of Khusrow of Persia.

After many years, when Umar ibn al-Khattab conquered Persia, crown and bangles of Khusrow came in booty. He called Suraqah and made him wear them. Thus, the prediction and belief of Prophet proved true. It also proves that he had the knowledge of hidden.

Unwavering belief of the Prophet

It was the unwavering belief of the Prophet and his trust upon Allah that brought him success. He planned all his ventures for spreading Islam and protecting Muslims on the basis of this trust. He inculcated this belief in his followers as well. Today also, we need such belief, passion and firmness to assist in promoting Mohammadan religion in order to attain success in world and hereafter.

Our role in contemporary era

The Holy Prophet is true guide and leader of all the followers of Mohammadan religion in every era and region. In addition to all other Sunna of the Prophet, it is also incumbent upon us to follow his Sunna of preaching. There must be a group or organization in the Muslim society who performs the duty of propagating the true soul of religion. The members of this organization should follow the pattern and belief of the Prophet at every step of their struggle. They must also adopt all the good morals and firmness of the Prophet and his Companions. They should also keep in view the ways of Prophet while making plans for propagation. Only then it is possible to bring a revolution in the Muslim society.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen: the preacher of truth and role model for preachers in this era.

The founder of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr and the Reviver of Islam (Mujadid-e-Deen) in this era Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib ur Rehman is working hard day and night to propagate the true soul of Islam i.e. Faqr. He is the perfect spiritual guide and leader of the time who is quenching the spiritual thirst of the seekers of Allah by his divine sight. He spreads the beneficence of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, the medium to spiritual enlightenment, by making preaching tours all over Pakistan. Furthermore, he is using all kinds of print and electronic media to call people toward Faqr, the pride of the Prophet. Sahibzada Sultan Mohamad Muraza Najib is following the footstep of Sultan ul Ashiqeen in this regard.

All seekers of Truth are welcome to join Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr and assist in preaching the Mohammadan religion. Hence, attain eternal success in the world and hereafter.

Avoiding arguments and controversies

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is leading his organization exactly on the footsteps of the Holy Prophet. Just as the Holy Prophet avoided unnecessary discussions and arguments, similarly Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen never indulges in controversies. Neither he allows his disciples to do so. Because, such conflicts become an obstacle in the way of Truth. The opponents exhaust all their abilities in proving themselves right and others wrong. They do not listen to their opponent even if he is saying right, rather only focus to reject him in any condition. In this way, the main purpose of discussion only remains to prove other wrong instead of reaching the truth of matter.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen follows the word of Allah.

وَجَادِلْھُمْ بِالَّتِیْ ھِیَ اَحْسَنُ

Meaning: And argue with them in most decent manner. (16:125)

He presents the teachings of Faqr in such an amiable manner that the listener readily accepts them. In addition to wise verbal exhortation, he also touches the heart of listener and inculcates the teachings in his soul. Real revolution is the inner one, when a person is revolutionized inwardly, his complete personality changes. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, by his divine sight, converts a seeker of the world into a seeker of Allah.

In the words of Sultan Bahoo,

الف اللہ چنبے دی بو ٹی میرے من وچ مرشد لائی ھُو

نفی اثبات دا پانی ملیس، ہر رگے ہر جا ئی ھُو

Explanation: My spiritual guide has enlightened my inward with the light of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. This light is spreading in my soul like the fragrance of jasmine. In this light, I am able to recognize my Holy Lord. Hence, I affirm His Oneness with perfect verification and negate everything other than Him.

Natural way of inviting towards truth

The Holy Prophet adopted natural way of preaching the Truth and gradually increased its circle. He started his mission of inviting towards Allah from his home, close friends and then other family members. Afterwards, he invited his own tribe and then reached out to other tribes and regions. The pure souls accepted the invitation readily while the evil ones opposed. The present era also demands to spread the Truth (Faqr) in the same natural manner. Pure souls would surely respond and join those who assist in propagating the Mohammadan religion. May Allah also make us one from them and grant us the courage to spread the Mohammadan religion. Amin
