Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Commemorates the Death Anniversary of Sultan Bahoo

Sultan-ul-Arifeen’s death anniversary (Urs Sultan Bahoo) is commemorated anually on the first Thursday of the Islamic month of Jamadi al-Thani.

On Thursday, January 30th of this year, Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr held a grand ceremony in this regard at the Khanqah Sarwari Qadri in Lahore. The event was presided over by the Patron in Chief of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman, who is the current 31st Sheikh of the Sarwari Qadri order. A large number of devotees and disciples from across the country attended the event to receive beneficence from the company of perfect Fakir Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.

The devotees present in the khanqah warmly welcomed Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen upon his arrival. Vice Patron in chief Sahibzada Sultan Mohammad Murtaza Najib also accompanied Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. After this, everyone offered Zuhr prayer and then the ceremony formally commenced.

Naeem Abbas Sarwari Qadri compered the ceremony. He first invited Molana Mohammad Aslam, who came on stage and recited few verses from the Quran. Afterwards, Mohsin Raza recited a beautiful eulogy in honour of the Holy Prophet. Ata-ul-Wahab then came on stage and presented a eulogy in honour of Sultan Bahoo.

Large number of devotees attended the event

Naeem Abbas then invited Mufti Mohammad Farooq Zia for a short address to the attendees. During his address, the speaker said that Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr is the true representative of Sultan Bahoo’s Sarwari Qadri order today and is striving to spread the message of Faqr in the world.

Following the speech at the Urs Sultan Bahoo ceremony, Mohammad Ramzan Bahoo delighted the audience by reciting verses from Abyat-e-Bahoo, which were greatly enjoyed and appreciated. Molana Mohammad Aslam proceeded to read Khatam, and Mufti Mohammad Farooq Zia made supplication for the continued success and prosperity of Tehreek Dawat-e-Faqr.

Mohsin Raza returned to the stage to present Durood-o-Salaam, after which Molana Mohammad Aslam made a final supplication.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen then met each of the devotees and disciples personally. He also inducted many new devotees into the Sarwari Qadri order after taking the oath of allegiance on his sacred hands. In keeping with tradition, he granted invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat to the new disciples.

To conclude the event, the participants relished a specially prepared langar.
